This body of work is based on the categorization of human temperaments into Choleric, Sanguine, Phlegmatic and Melancholic. Each temperament has it's own color scheme. Each piece is painted on a deep-set wood panel with at least one dimension measuring 36". Each piece is designed to be hung in a triad that responds to one of the four temperaments. Triads include at least one faux stone, mineral, or precious material (such as tortoiseshell), which serves to tie the temperament to the natural world.
