With so much geometry in the labyrinths, the palms bring a welcome break, just as Palm Sunday is a moment of relief. Yet just as these palms are a dark jungle, so is the inevitable road through the Garden of Gethsemane.
After the Cross, I added the Tree of Life. It insisted on taking shape with the same oval forms that have indicated people since the Madonna and Child.
